Heart Work

Outreach Within Our Reach was birthed out of a passion to understand all the little details that make up a person, and to show up for them in ways they wouldn’t expect; ways that reach their hearts. For some, giving of yourself and giving to communities that you might not know very well, can seem unattainable for various reasons. It can even be discouraging at times— to weigh all that you want to accomplish for others, against what you believe to have the capability or resources to do. Trust me, I’ve been there time and time again. Outreach Within Our Reach takes ideas to help and support, that can seem hard to grasp onto, and brings them a little closer within our reach.

Our goal is to help relieve the tangible stressors faced by those in need, in a way that is easy and engaging to participate in. We facilitate service learning opportunities, resource collection & distribution, and community volunteerism, both domestically and abroad. It is our heart’s work. Whether it’s big or small, we’ve got opportunities for it all. Founder & Owner, Zoë Shaw, uses her many identities (i.e. mental health counselor, social justice advocate, world traveler, and faith leader) to shape the vision behind this initiative.
